  1. KDP65 is the Kwik Disk Configuration Editor v.6.50 by Magnum Software.  
  2. This amazingly complete and ingenious utility has been continuously 
  3. improved over the years.  As the authors state:
  4. Kwik Disk was first released as a Desktop Accessory in August 1988. It was
  5. intended to increase the access time for reading and writing to the floppy
  6. drives. As it was continually updated, we added the ability to select the
  7. seekrate for each drive separately, increased drive access speed and
  8. optimised the accessory to be as fast as possible and use as little memory
  9. as possible.
  10.     Next we came up with a Kwik Disk program that would run from the AUTO
  11. folder. This would install Kwik Disk at boot-up and use as little memory as
  12. possible. Later it was further optimised until it would use LESS THAN 600
  13. BYTES!
  14.     All this was great. We had increased our access speed to as much as
  15. 200% while using a minimal amount of memory. What else could we possibly do
  16. to further improve this wonderful utility? Three things had not yet been
  17. done:
  18.  
  19.     1) A configuration program
  20.         (for the user to enter his/her own settings for boot-up time)
  21.  
  22.     2) Compatability with all present and future versions of TOS
  23.  
  24.     3) A version of Kwik Disk that would load from the bootsector
  25.         of a floppy-disk and USE NO MEMORY AT ALL!
  26.  
  27. Every one of the above features were built in to the Kwik Disk
  28. Configuration Editor!  This version fixes a bug that could trash your
  29. hard drive (a Serious bug!) Color or mono.  Docs included.  SHAREWARE.
